If you're a bore, this Device will pick you up!
MIT is out with a device that can read your emotions and alarms you in case you show any signs of getting bored or irritation. Especially designed to assist people suffering form autism, the "Emotional Social Intelligence Prosthetic" device, being designed by El Kaliouby and his team at MIT is equipped with a small camera connected to a hand-held computer loaded with image recognition and emotion reading software.

The computer alarms the user by vibrating in case the images read by the emotion reading software prove that the wearer is failing to engage his or her listener.
Earlier such devices used to recognize basic emotional states but El Kaliouby's device scores above them as it's almost undetectable and convey sequence of movements, like facial expressions, rather than concentrating on single expressions.
