Creating those next-gen robots has become an unwanted necessity. With nearly all the big names making frequent efforts to reveal something extraordinary, the lesser aren’t willing to lack behind either. Such is the case with Multipurpose Mobile Figura Inc., which intends to release its autonomous cleaning robot called the I Figura in April 2009.
The I Figura is a precision-guided robot, churned to work on voice command. The robot with the built-in sensors avoids obstacles and cleans with perfection both autonomously and on command. The I Figura is equipped with a high-powered rotating brush and a cyclone dust collector for cleaning the carpets and floors of dust.

Pre-programmed to avoid all hindrances, the robot has a nozzle which moves from side to side, like a mop, cleaning up the walls and surroundings of the pillars and the floor.

The rotating brush allows the I Figura to suck up the dust and solid waste from the carpets working in speed both zigzag and instantly, filling the 4 and 2L tanks. Operated wirelessly, the mounted PC screen on the cleaning bot helps in remote controlled communication and demonstration of activities to be done.

Powered with a 24V, 10Ah nickel hydride battery, the I Figura has a camera and supposedly a microphone (not mentioned) to hear the owner’s call. The battery has approximately 2.5 hours of backup and charging it is easy; just return it to the charging station and attach it to the ultrasonic sensor system on its exterior and start charging.
