As per a recent study, the energy generated from body movements can be utilized to power nanoscale components. These nanogenerators are being designed at the Georgia Institute of Technology by Zhong Lin Wang and Jinhui Song who’ve successfully generated electrical current through the bending and relaxing of zinc oxide nanowires due to the emition of piezoelectric discharge. These nanogenerators could be implanted safely into the body where they’ll utilize the mechanical energy of our muscles to convert it into electrical energy enough to power devices inside the body.
