HP is always in a hunt to shell out that which shall be a revelation when thrown open for the eyes to gawk at. There is modesty that centers the entire excitement, in the same stir HP took an opportunity to reveal its first ever nettop PC in Taiwan. An addition to the HP Compaq, the mini-Q nettop is powered with an Intel’s dual-core Atom 330 processor. Housing 2GB of DDR2 RAM, a 160GB 7,200rpm SATA hard-drive, the nettop PCs are available in two versions – the HP mini-Q 2030 and the HP mini-Q 2020. The HP mini-Q 2020 is Windows XP based using 1.6GHz single-core Atom 230, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, while the mini-Q 2030 is Windows Vista based model. Selling at about $386 in Taiwan, the mini-Q 2030 weighs between 1.5 and 2kg, has four USB 2.0 ports and a dual-layer DVD burner, lesser mini-Q 2020 is on sale for $296. There isn’t any official word on when the mini-Q shall reach the US.
