Hewlett-Packard, which was one of the strongest supporters of HD DVD format in the Blu ray-HD DVD war, has now joined LG and Samsung to offer the dual-format drives. HP will be stuffing a hybrid drive (Blu-ray/HD DVD drives) in two of its Pavilion desktop computers. Both the Intel powered Pavilion Media Center m8010y and the Pavilion d4890y will be available via HP’s online store. No doubt, more companies will strat doing the same thing eventually. No info on pricing and availability at the moment.
