
The latest buzz in tech town is AMD’s Turion X2 Ultra processor. And guess which company has gauged the trend? Well, none other than HP, since its latest notebooks are based on Turion X2 Ultra processor and platform. Two flagship models: the 14-inch Compaq 6535b and 15.4-inch Compaq 6735b are among the first in the industry to be built around new architecture. Both these models can support up to 8GB of DDR2 memory and deliver amazing graphics courtesy Mobility Radeon HD 3200. The business notebooks come with an AMD Turion X2, AMD Turion X2 Ultra or AMD Athlon X2 processor. Both these models start at $1,079 and provide, among others, 2.1 GHz Turion X2 Ultra, 2GB/3Gb of RAM, 120GB (max 160GB) of hard disk memory, a DVD burner (which can be replaced with an secondary HDD) and 802.11n Wi-Fi. Users have an option for VGA webcam and a Qualcomm Gobi modem for 3G cellular Internet access. Display for 6735b has WXGA anti-glare/WXGA BrightView/WSXGA+ anti-glare. The 14” 6535b provides either of WXGA anti-glare, WXGA BrightView, and WXGA+ anti-glare. Other specs include:

The graphics on these machines would definitely be amazing and LCDs too seem top notch. All in all both the models are value for money.
