We can imagine the shimmer in your eyes after reading the headline, but hold on, this simple project aims at creating a straight-thinking machine sitting on your lap and hence qualifies enough to be a laptop, but at the same time, it holds loads of charm for do-it-yourself geeks.

All you need is your lap and a computer; and Morris Rosenthal calls it reverse engineering, hooking the computer with a car battery and an inverter. The so-called laptop is fully expandable and upgradeable with standard ATX and PCI components and gives 50 feet of roving range with the patented '"Extension Cord' technology.
