HOWTO: Build a web cam telescope

It's time to collect all your old web cams you have been nurturing in your storeroom for long and seize the enchanting beauty of the night sky or the beautiful lass next door, as did our geek buddy Dennison Bertram.

The web cam telescope provides decent magnification with Dennison's 35mm camera; you can use any average length telephoto lens. Of course, you will need a CCD chip too and make sure to keep the distance between the lens and the CCD assembly accurate for best results. The telescope mounted on a wooden box contraption looks pretty elegant with a wonderful zoom ability and loads of fun.
