HOWTO: Build a MP3 Boom Box of your own for $46
Pumping that hair-raising heavy metal through ear buds holds a charm of its own, but on the same time, we cannot sideline the appeal of big surround sound speakers rocking the whole room. Rather, most of us would prefer to fill the room with music while hanging on with other things at the same time and nothing can be better than a boom box at this point. What if you create that device setting the whole rhythm?

Yes, Bill Machrone wants you to forget Apple's boom box and create a rocking MP3 boom box of your own and that too for just $46. Bill calls his creation an iBoom Lo-Fi portable music player and you too can proudly give it a name of your choice with that 'i' in front of it. Sounds cool, isn't it.
All you need is an old boom box and few tools to make the player hold and play your iPod. The iBoom Lo-Fi completely encloses and protects the iPod unlike Apple's iPod Hi-Fi allowing you to take it anywhere you want without exposing the little kid to the elements. Here you go!
