Have you ever wondered that how much digital information is being generated today? Well, the research company IDC has revealed that approximately 161 exabytes (one billion gigabytes) of digital information were
created by folks and businesses last year.
The most startling fact is that about 988 billion exabytes of data will be created in the year 2010 that is six times greater than the 2006 count with an average growth of 57 percent every year.
In the year 2006, 150 billion images were captured by the cameras. It won’t be wrong to adjoin another 100 billion photos to the list that are taken by the cameraphones globally.
By the year 2010, IDC speculates that 250 million IM accounts will be used.
Well, why should we worry for that being a consumer? But, try to give it a second thought.
