hitlers stealth fighter plane_bigWWII saw the end of Hitler, but some say that the Germans had the Horten 2-29 Jet Fighter Plane been ready by then, and the outcome of the Second World War would have been different for such was the deemed capability of Hitler’s stealth fighter. It was a tad late, as Christmas of 1944 was the first time a prototype of the Ho2-29 was tested and it later ended as a better prototype that never saw the face of war. It was even speculated that the Ho 2-29 was radar resistant. So many of these mesmerizing stories of the Hornet 2-29 made a team from Northrop Grumman defense-contracting corporation revisit the fighter plane.

In the attempt the engineers found new clues as to why this plane was hailed as the destiny breaker. The team took blueprints from the only surviving fighter plane that has been stored in a US government facility for the last five decades. The Hornet was made of wood and was powered by jet engines to achieve speeds up to 600mph. As a mutant, the plane was equipped with four 30mm cannons and two 500-kilogram (1,100-pound) bombs. The entire research was conducted to ascertain what the outcome of WWII would have been, had the stealth fighter been ready by then. Video after the jump.
