Honda presents one-wheeled personal ride for clowning fun
I have never given a second thought to what Honda has delivered in the past (all’s been sheer exemplary). But I couldn’t hold myself from questioning here. Why on Earth a unicycle in scooter style? Do they want to see clowns taking to the streets for pleasure? Portability and transport personalization is the motive with the U3-X? Fine, taken.

The Segway-style personal mobility vehicle, on one wheel, the U3-X, is tailored to move in any direction. Placed between the driver’s legs, the system takes user’s body movements (shift in weight) for commands and courtesy Honda’s own Balance Control technology and the Omni Traction Drive System, moves just freely in about all possible directions, including sideways and diagonally.
Weighing in at about 10kg, the U3-X is comes with foldable seats and footrests for comfortable ride and carry. Powered by a lithium ion battery, the system is good to run for an hour, after which you’ll have to get off and charge. Hope the little thing doesn’t ditch you midway, so it better to keep the journey shorter when you’re boarding the U3-X mobility system.
