HomeSeer intros HomeTroller Home Conroller
HomeSeer recently rolled out HomeTroller, a novel Home Automation Controller. HomeTroller is feature packed with web functionality, voice control and support for Lutron, Leviton, Z-Wave, UPB, Insteon products. With the price tag of more or less $1,100 for the basic unit, the latest Home Automation Controller claims to position itself at the higher end of the DIY Home Automation market and most probably the lower end of the custom installer sector.
Our new HomeTroller is an advanced home automation controller that’s designed to simplify your life by integrating and automating the major systems of your home! Use it to monitor and control lighting, appliances, climate, security, Telephones, irrigation, window shades and home entertainment equipment.
It is included with many serial and USB ports for connecting the most commonly used technology interfaces. It gives support to the widest variety of user interfaces, including in-wall button controllers, touchscreens, wireless remotes, PDAs, PocketPCs, cellphones and voice (microphones), and complete telephone messaging with caller ID announcements (w/optional telephone interface). HSProtect gives protection to the embedded operating system against virus, spyware and malware attacks. Besides its integrated power failure recovery characteristic sprints events missed through outages while power is restored. Consistent with a wide variety of technologies and companies comprising Lutron.
Comprehensible web interface enables simple access and control with any web browser. It generates alerts, announcements and reminders by email, telephone and text message. Leviton, Z-Wave, UPB, Insteon and many others. Automation events could be brought about ‘on-the-fly’ utilizing voice commands. HSSentry goes on keeping an eye on the unit to make sure very consistent operation. Ultra low power consumption saves energy and reduces utility bills.
