‘Holy Smoke’ - the roadworthy 100mph sportscar made from a coffin

The list of bizarre stuff that we come across in a day is endless. Some of these things we can mark as art, while others are beyond us – and they just land up in the lunacy bracket. We were pretty confused with the category for this one, so we leave it for you to decide, where this 100mph single-seater car that’s made using a 7ft-long steel coffin should rest. By the time you decide, we’ll give it up to Phil Bissett, 62, former gravedigger and a tattoo artist by profession from Essex, for his crazy new creation 'Holy Smoke'. The head-turning scorcher is built-in with a 1972 1300cc VW engine, with parts of a 75kg steel coffin, a dumper truck, a beach buggy and an old Ford car fitted for the exteriors. Given the enormous engine power, the Holy Smoke that has wheel spinners made out of grave vases, can go up to 100mph.
