Holographic solar panels cut costs by up to 75 per cent
Solar energy is available free, so are the other forms of energies, but gathering it is too expensive with the costly solar photovoltaic (PV) cells and hence restricts us from making the best use of it.

In order to melt down the problem, Prism Solar Technologies have developed a new way of concentrating sunlight with the help of holograms and ultimately bringing down the cost by up to 75 per cent, as the hologram panels require 25 to 85 per cent less silicon than the traditional panels. The new panels laminated with layers of holograms can be easily fitted on rooftops, windows and doors and concentrate ten times more sunlight; albeit the lens powered systems can do that up to 1,000 times but, being complicated and mechanical, are not widely used.
