As reported earlier, war for the slimmest TV is going to go down to the wires. First Sony came with its XWL-1 TV, claiming to be the slimmest TV on planet and then came its Drive XEL-1 OLED TV. Now it's Hitachi turn to turn on the tables with its newly launched super-slim 32-inch HDTV.
Competitor in a different segment altogether The Hitachi 32-inch HDTV is just 1.9 cms (0.74 inches) thick. It's not a scant 3-mm OLED mind you, but certainly not bad.
