Hitachi woos with Wooo 9000 quad-tuner HDD TVs with PVR
Hitachi is here to woo your senses with Wooo 9000 series of big-screen plasma and LCD HDTVs packed with four integrated tuners - two digital, two analogue and integrated hard disks with PVR functionality. The six models are introduced in 32in, 37in and 42in screen sizes with one out of each sizes having 250GB HDD.
It's still not clear that the plasma screens will offer resolution of 1080p or 1080i, but the LCD will definitely give 720p. The 42in and 37in panels feature resolution of 1,024 x 1,080, while the 32-incher's resolution is 1,366 x 768. As far as brightness is concerned, the plasmas run up to 1,400cdpm*sup2 and the rest give 500cdpm*sup2.
Also, all six displays will feature HDMI ports, an SD card slot, 10/100Mbps Ethernet and a variety of AV I/O connectors. The HDD-equipped Wooos are likely to hit on 29 April with price ranging from ¥350,000-510,000 ($2,964-4,318).
