Hitachi has unveiled it’s 1TB hard drive for it’s CinemaStar line. The CinemaStar 7K1000.B can store 247 hours of MPEG-4 HD video and has been designed for continuous usage. The silent-seek acoustics make it possible to have a near-silent operation. Hitachi also has unveiled CinemaStar 5K320 with a capacity of 320GB. Both the drives have 3 low power idle modes and have low heat emission and power consumption. This means they stay cool and don’t heat up even in a fanless environment. You can expect to see the 7K1000.B and the 5K320 in August and September respectively. The prices have not been mentioned yet.
