Hitachi prototypes brain-powered remote for handsfree control

If Hitachi, as they propose to in about three-four years, actually pulls this off, then couch-potatoes and lethargics like me will have their universe complete. Did I miss Hitachi’s prototype, actually it is the latest Brain Machine Interface adaption enhancing upon which the company has developed a prototype remote control that’ll allow users to operate electronic devices with brain activity alone.

The control system is based on an infrared enabled headset which scans blood flow changes in the brain and transmits the same via optical fiber to a remote control, which prompted by the brain activity beams the thought through infrared ray onto the electronic device to achieve the desired result.
