The quest for best in the nano age ends at developing the smallest variants of every thing dubbed as a product by technology. Success means going nano and thus electronic giants strive to create products which register as the smallest in the world is some category or the other. Just as in this case, Hitachi has sounded its development of the worlds smallest Triaxial Acceleration Sensor with dimensions reading 2.5 x 2.5 x 1mm with an overall weight of mere 14mg. It comes capable of detecting acceleration at ±4or ±8g. Hitachi will start shipping it by May 2008 but those would only be the samples to derive major orders if found satisfactory in terms of potential.
