Caught at the CEATEC 2009 was this 10-inch “Full Parallax 3D TV” by Hitachi. Based on the Integral Photography with Overlaid Projection method of engineering, the TV consists of 16 projectors and a lens array sheet to cover them. Boasting VGA screen resolution of 640 x 480 pixels, the Full Parallax 3D TV can be viewed without any kind of special 3D glasses, this is because of the parallax, which adjusts the image to the angle the viewer is viewing from. Because in the glass-free 3D displays can have a trade-off between resolutions and viewpoints, pretty understandable, Hitachi to overcome it has used these 16 projectors with resolutions of 800 x 600, so no matter where you view from – vertically or horizontally you just see the display damn well.
