A label has been developed which may allow us to know if a bottle of wine stays within the specifications or not. Since wine usually gets spoiled because of warm temperatures, the high-tech shipping label would allow us to discard bottles that are not fresh or those that have gone bad. Information about the temperature the product reached can be downloaded from a portable reader into a computer spreadsheet.
Pricing and availability: The labels cost $20 for a box and are already available.
Watch this: These labels may help when wine or any other perishable product is being shipped across the globe. However, the cost of such labels may be prohibitive.
