HeadTracking by Wii can make 3D gaming possible

If there is anything I'd rate 100 out of 10 then this is it. Guy in the video below shows how his software can create 3D effect using Nintendo's Wii and a pair of Infrared Sources.

He starts off by explaining that how a screen is similar to an image and that its 2D. Only way of changing view on TV screen with your movement (3D effect) is by making PC aware of your movement W.R.T. your screen, this is called HeadTracking. He uses WiiMote and a pair of Infrared light sources to do that.

WiiMote's Infrared camera acts as a sensor for PC and pair of IR lights act as source which will keep PC aware of your movements. So when you move to right PC will sense it and software will change the image on screen such that you'll get an illusion that you are looking through a window into some other room. Similar and respective actions are taken by software when you move ahead, to left or lean backward.

This is just more than just another Wii use, I am expecting this to be big and hopefully we'll soon see some game that uses this technology to give awesome virtual gaming experience.
