HDMI two-to-one video switch connects two HDMI devices on HDTV

Most of the HDTVs come with a single HDMI input, which makes it difficult to get high quality videos from other HD devices. Belkin has addressed this problem with its latest AV product, HDMI 2-to-1 Video Switch.

As the name suggests, the Video Switch will enable the users to connect two HDMI devices to a single HDMI or DVI port on a computer monitor as well as an HDTV. In brief, you can now connect Apple TVs and HD DVD players on a single port and enjoy high resolution video and audio.

The Belkin device supports full length video with resolutions ranging from 480i to 1080p. It does not entail external power. It supports most of the HDCP-compliant devices. The switch can be controlled by an IR remote.

As of now, the 2-to-1 Switch is available in Canada and US. Its price is around $50. It will be available in Europe and Australia in March next year.
