Gearing to take on the high-definition ranks is a HD radio, which is expected to ship within this summer, carrying a modest price tag cited to be anyway under $50. Citing no name of the manufacturer yet, the leaked images of the prototype only show what the portable HD radio could actually look like.
As Engadget holds, this little gem is expected to land in an undisclosed “big box retailer”, with a full color display and 3.5 millimeter headphone jack. We have nothing much on the specs and battery backup that we can share for the moment, but we can say that the device is small enough to fit in your pockets and broadcast to you those FM releases well within your high-def demands.
