Latest gadgets have started their assault at the CES-2006. HandHeld Entertainment has also introduced its new WiFi ZVUE Portable Media Player after its MP4 Video Player. The new Model 500 comes with a landscape 3.5 inch LCD screen including 320x240px resolution and support videos at 30 frames per second (fps).

The 3.5 x 5.5 x 0.5' PMP features a minimum of 1GB of on-board Flash memory, both Compact Flash and secure digital/multimedia card slots (SD/MMC), and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. The Microsoft secure Digital Rights Management (DRM) software makes it compatible with Windows Media Video (WMV) and Windows Media Audio (WMA). The price is expected to be less than $300.

Another new player introduced along with ZVUE 500 is ZVUE 400, priced under $225. Now let's see who wins the race, the pricey iPod and PSP or the $100 ZVUE and the two new guys.
