Modder Widefault is back with a new hot mod, and this time it’s a Mac hack dubbed as Hackintosh Jr. As one could guess, it is a Hackintosh (Macintosh OS running on non-official Apple hardware). Widefault’s latest hack’s design has been inspired by almighty Mac Pro towers.

Hackintosh Jr. is obviously a beautiful looking casemod but what’s packed inside this nifty 5.5” x 7″ x 5” silver box is pretty interesting. It packs a Aaeon Gene-9310 3.5″ embedded board, Intel Core Duo T2500, 2GB OCS DDR2-667, Intel Pro 2200BG wireless with external antenna, Seagate Momentus 5400.3 ATA drive and a single 12 volt power input. The heat sink has been replaced with an oversized one that houses a 60mm fan. It’s a pretty powerful PC for its size; only thing it misses out on is an optical drive. The modder has used a single piece of sheet metal to make the meshed part of the body, whereas the top and bottom were carved out of a flat sheet.
