We are new to the iPhone OS 4.0; it’s only been a day that we’ve heard, read and blogged on it. Because with hackers nothing remains new for long, this was expected - a jailbreak of the Operating System. Posted on Twitter by Eric McDonald a.k.a MuscleNerd of the iPhone Dev Team, this is a demonstration of the iPhone running the OS installed with Cydia and Veency. There’s not much that can be explained how the jailbreak has actually been carried out, but it is believed that this is how the new OS could be expected to work when it is actually made available to the iPhone and the iPad in this summer and fall respectively. Like MuscleNerd himself, even we recommend that you don’t try installing the OS just yet, because the man himself states that it is quite buggy still, so just enjoy the video until we find something more convincing to be attempted.
