Hacker mounts SLR lens to the iPhone, but only that's exciting

Ahh… it seems these hackers are actually after the iPhone camera. We know it isn’t all that good compared with cameras of the other smartphones, but is that a reason enough to tinker with it? Perhaps yes, and thus, after a magnifying camera mod for the iPhone, it’s time now for Industrial Light & Magic’s engineer Bhautik Joshi’s Phone-O-Scope. The Phone-O-Scope with an 18-55mm SLR lens attachment for the iPhone is something never seen before. Not particularly easy to handle, the enhancement doesn’t even take superb images - they are simply blurred and distorted. Getting a fancy lens onto the ordinary iPhone camera isn’t a bad idea; it’s just obviously goes to show that for great pictures a good lens also needs a quality camera.
