We remember designer Yves Behar since the OLPC days; that said, the man doesn’t have a thought limited to lappies only, but has thinking larger than life and it’s always the developing countries that he shower the wisdom upon. After the ifs and buts of the OLPC, Yves is up with a hackable car concept which he showed at the Greener Gadgets Conference in New York. The green car designed with an objective of facilitating commutation in the third world countries, features an electric base, but the power source isn’t certain, and has a body made in interchangeable parts. Owing to this, the hackable car can be changed from a multifunctional car into a taxi or an emergency vehicle and even a truck for that matter. There still a long way before we see this in real, but the idea is surely path breaking, sending us to think on the terms.
