Sometimes when you are left pondering on what to do, where to go for dinner or a movie in an area you are new in, you might wish for the right and effective guide or a friend. But, how would it be when your mobile phone assists you with all these queries?!

Hey! Am not kidding or recalling a ‘fiction creation’. Researchers have created such a software in real! It’s named Magitti, and once installed on your GPS-enabled mobile phone, it is loyally there to suggest you with all such queries.

So, forget a Web search for a restaurant or even a movie. Of all, Magitti can immediately recommend some useful-choices based not only on the time of the day, but also your past behavior!

Interestingly, Magitti uses your messages to refine its suggestions. It gathers GPS data from a phone, and also keeps text messages and information about events saved in the phone’s calendar. And, when the user searches by a term, it immediately uploads it to a server for details.

Though, the Palo Alto Research Center researchers have developed Magitti for the Japanese company Dai Nippon Printing and it is supposed to be launched next year in Japan, it is sure to grab the European or the U.S. market like wild fire if deployed there.
