Google will have to do it differently with Android if they have to stand a chance to knock Apple off that pinnacle it has attained for itself with its mobile devices. For this Google’s introduced a new voice search application for Android 2.2. Using Google Voice Action (as the service is called) the user can control his Android phone by just speaking. The Voice Action lets the user speak to the Android smartphone using voice commands, results of which can be seen on the screen.

With Voice Action, which is a series of spoken commands, the user can text a person by saying their name and the message, or call a business they don’t know the number of but know the name, here Google Maps are used to find the business and route the number. Besides this the users can command the phones to get directions, view a map, view contacts, write a note, listen to music, send email, go to websites or search Google all by speaking to them. Head down for the video demonstration of how the Google Voice Action works.
