Google’s new Android phone with near-field communications to replace credit cards

It’s a small world this, nothing here remains constant everything finds a replacement in some form or the other. In such a scenario it’s Google that’s readying Android phones as replacement for credit cards. According to Google CEO Eric Schmidt, Google is developing Android phones that feature a near-field communications chip, which lets the phone to be used as a credit card in checkout counters etc. The NFC chip, like an RFID chip allows data transfers, but from a very close range, it allows the people to tap their phone on a symbol or item to enforce an action, which includes making of payments. The chips could find a place in the next Nexus device, which would come with Android’s Gingerbread operating system.
