Google officially introduces the web surfing ‘Google TV’

Goolge has officially introduced the ‘Google TV’, a television set which switches between TV channels, movies and web surfing. Touted as the future of television, the Google TV is designed to bring the joy of internet to our TV. The TV which would be integrated into a number of TVs from various manufacturers allows users to access Facebook, search for TV programs on the web or watch films on YouTube all in the comfort of the living room.

The Google TV, which can be used with your existing TVs courtesy a set top box, will be made by Sony using Intel’s Atom range of processors, yet would run on Google’s Android OS using Google Chrome as its web browser.
