Google and Apple are battling out their differences with their latest versions of Nexus S and iPhone 4. Of course! Both smartphones include some extraordinary features but it is essential to decide here, that which one of them is the best.

Challenge:
Nexus has introduced Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system but Apple has incorporated the latest iOS 4 in its phone. So can the Android-powered phone match up its pace against iPhone 4 which has totally revamped features. Superior 5-megapixel camera appears in both the phones with flash and auto-focus on the back, and front-facing VGA cameras - for enhanced video calling. When it comes to processors both score a draw again as they feature a 1GHz, and RAM memory along with 512MB.
The joint efforts of Google and Samsung have added an additional feature called NFC (near field communication) through which a user can read information from objects or stickers/ posters - embedded with an NFC chip. With this advantage a user can make mobile payments directly. But the question which is hung in the air; Can Nexus surpass the agility of a iPhone?
Compassion Attributes:

Screen/ keyboard:
When it comes to Screen or Keyboard both sets are good enough. Google Nexus S is having an 4.0-inch touch-sensitive Super AMOLED display with 480 x 800 pixels of resolution. In an aggregate It is having 384000 pixels onscreen, which works out at 233.25 pixels per inch.
Whereas Its contemporary, iPhone is having an elegant 3.5-inch touch-sensitive Retina Display which displays a higher resolution of the two – 960 x 640 pixels and an unbeatable PPI of 329.714, because of which the upper hand goes to iPhone 4
Winner: iPhone
Performance:
Spontaneous agility is our next parameter which is defined by raw speediness. In this category Google Nexus S scores a lead with ARM Cortex A8 Hummingbird chip (also rated at 1GHz) over 1GHz Apple A4 processor of Apple A4.
Winner: Google Nexus S
Software:
A good software running in the interiors assures optimized efficiency of the overall system. Nexus S uses a pure-blood build of Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), unmolested by manufacturer skins like HTC Sense. Whereas, The iPhone 4 works on Apple’s iOS4 software. Since it is tough to say that OS is better than Anddroid, the edge should be given to Google Nexus S.
The 32GB in the top-of-the-line iPhone definitely sounds good over the 16GB capacity of the Nexus S. As Apple has not included an expansion slot into the iPhone the edge here should be given to Nexus S.
Winner: Google Nexus S
Battery life:
Nexus S claims 6.7 hours of battery talk-time in comparison to iPhones 7.0 hours . The standby time of both the phones is measured at 427 hours (Nexus S) and 300 hours (iPhone) respectively which gives edge to Nexus S.
Winner: Google Nexus S
Extra Features:
The Nexus S additional features include GPS/A-GPS; GPU (for faster gaming); haptic feedback vibration, a game-orientated 3-axis gyroscope; digital compass: Curvy Contour Display, to make it compatible with any GSM carrier and NFC Technology. Whereas, the Extra features of iPhone 4 are limited to GPS/A-GPS, digital compass and a 3-axis gyroscope.
Winner: Google Nexus S

The Verdict:
Apple might have set benchmarks for touchscreen super-handsets but Google Nexus S has definitely scored much better results in many aspects like: performance, software, storage and battery life.
