Google Docs gets a boost with its very own Desktop gadget

Google Docs has been around for sometime, but it doesn’t really have much of a user base. Only 1% of adult internet users opt for Google Docs, and that is not exactly an encouraging number. To tackle the problem, Google has released a desktop gadget for Google Docs that functions much like the gadget in Gmail. Only, this one functions direct from the desktop, making the documents easily and quickly accessible. This gadget can work with both the Windows and Linux versions of the Google Desktop.
