Google, in an attempt to make its Chrome OS more feature rich and luring, has started out on a project to integrate hardware-accelerated 3D graphics into its Chrome browser. This will be plug-in named O3D that will be incorporated into Chromium build. Chromium is an open-source project that chrome will be built on.

O3D will open numerous opportunities for high-powered Web-based games that can run 3D graphics. This feature will be coupled with Google Native Client, which is aimed at developing richer and more dynamic browser-based applications.
Google will be looking to make Native Client and O3D into some standard to be incorporated into future browsers, to convince developers and programmers to support it.

Chrome OS Future?
Chrome OS is very lightweight, that makes it easier to run on every hardware. It will take very minimal time to boot. This OS will enhance the computer safety, support dual boot and most of all, it will be available for free.

Now with such features as O3D and Native Client, it has become even more enticing. Will it be accepted accepted worldwide? We all know that Google Search is the world’s favorite search engine. So everyone is acquainted with Google now. When Chrome OS is providing such attractive features, then it won’t be a bad deal to try it out. Considering the fact that windows has a lion’s share of the OS system market, Chrome’s future seems bleak. But if we look at its growth with respect to search engine and chrome browser, Google looks very determined. Chrome browser has climbed the ladders of success very easily and unexpectedly fast.

There are three things that strongly favor Chrome OS:
•Very attractive features
•Cost advantage
•Growing reputation and public praise
Does that suggest Chrome OS is the next Global Favorite?
