Astronauts that are stationed at space stations or keep constantly visiting the bases for repair work are always aware of the dangers involved in their job. Their lives are always at stake and therefore it becomes important to use spacesuits that can help them give their lives a chance in those dire circumstances. The astronauts on the International Space Station were given the opportunity to test Russian made Orlan-MK suits during the installation of three antennas on an auto-docking system.
Two of these astronauts tested a suit with integrated mini-computers. These suits can receive failure notifications and instructions (in case of a malfunction) through the embedded LCD on the breast pocket, eradicating the need of memorizing a contingency plan.
