Gigabyte is planning to deliver its low-cost alternative in
the coming June. There are no details about the specifications except that it
will be powered by Intel’s Basic Platform along with a panel size that ranges
from 7″ to 9″. As it’s a low-cost device, there is no need to worry
about the prize. However, presence of other similar products may persuade it to
be on the ground. That means a usual device for casual Web browsing, e-mail and
Office productivity programs and nothing extra ordinary. It will be easy on
your pocket in any case. This announcement will alert its current rival in low-cost PC market, Asustek Computer’s Asus Eee PC. Company also announced its Menlow-based mobile Internet device (MID) and ultra-mobile PC (UMPC) products scheduled for April.
