Laying a foundation for a generation of interfaces that are beyond the dependence of touch, Samsung is using the D'strict designed gesture-sensing hologram interface to promote its latest Smartphone, the Samsung Jet. This Minority Report-styled communication pattern has become so frequent in the real sci-fi world that the real world has suddenly found itself catching up.

According to Cliff Kuang, from FastCompany, "the results of the interface are impressive for their total immersion, though you can tell there's a significant lag between gesture and response." Yes, like a true veteran, Samsung is claiming the gesture-sensing hologram to be the first in the world, but sadly to our knowledge it is but second after the Obscura Digital (vid available), which displayed a similar interactive holographic display a while back.
