German Policewomen to wear bullet-proof bras

For German Policewomen, bra has a different meaning. It is not just underwear, it is rather a security device. The unique quotient is that these bras are bullet-resistant. Nearly 3000 policewomen are all set to wear the newly-developed bras to protect themselves from life-threatening injuries. These bras are different from traditional bras in the sense that they don’t have any metal or plastic under-wire or fasteners that cause injury to the wearer when hit by a bullet. Made out of cotton, polyester, spandex and polyamide, the new bras possess thick pads for protection. These bras were issued to German Policewomen after the two months of secret testing. The new bra is available in four different sizes. Each Policewoman is entitled to get three bras over which the word ‘Police’ is written in German.
