Generative wardrobe concept takes us into a wearable dream world
Having seen a host of wearable gadgets and electronics, we are quite content that wearable technology will make the future. Our belief receives more authority when we come across innovative wearable concepts like the Generative Wardrobe by designer Alex Dodge. Being a lucid take on what our attire could be in a few years down the line, Alex’s Generative Wardrobe features everything futuristic, right from a cap to a jacket and from a pair of shoes to a touch sensitive shirt.

The sleeping cap or sleep talker transmits a user’s dreams, which he can share over social networks. The powerstep shoes on the other hand have a silicone sole with piezoelectric ceramic component that help it create a small amount of power when bent while walking. The shirt or a haptic-synth garment is long-sleeved, decked with touch-sensitive pads. The Jacket is a reprogrammable control board which feature sensors, accelerometers, GPS and USB ports. Alex’s concepts are on display at the Brooklyn’s Klaus Von Nichtssagend Art Gallery.
