General Imaging unveils GE PJ1 camera with integrated pico projector

General Imaging has unveiled a new compact camera in GE PJ1. This newly unveiled camera is one-of-a-kind, as it integrates a pico projector. In addition, the camera captures still images at 14.1mp resolution and shots video at 720p. With 7x optical zoom, it integrates facial recognition, auto exposure adjustment, smile and blink recognition and SD plus SDHC memory cards with the capacity of 16 GB. It also makes use of the DLP technology from the Texas Instruments, which helps it to achieve the contrast ratio of 300:1 and a brightness of 15 ANSI lumen. As far its projection capabilities are concerned, the camera will let you project for an hour when it is fully charged.

Of course, it might not be the thing that could hold its ground for more than few hours after continuous usage, but it will solve all your purposes at the same time even if it is for a short while. And, taking in consideration that it is actually a compact camera with pictures, video and projecting capabilities, kudos to the design. This camera was unveiled at Photokina in Cologne, the world's largest photographic expo.
