Geminoid DK intensifies the Flash flooding threat from Unicanny Valley

A new Geminoid from Aalborg University, Denmark has again compelled everyone to think about the possibilities of Unicanny Valley. Before this innovation, it was considered that only Japanese technology is having a superior hold on the Geminoid subject. Geminoid DK is the name given to this robot which is much more realistic than Geminoids of Kokoro and ATR (Japanese research teams).

Geminoid DK has been designed by Professor Henrik Scharfe of Aalborg University, Denmark and in many aspects it has surpassed the Japanese robots which were built by Prof. Hiroshi Ishiguro of ATR. Unlike Geminoid F and Geminoid HI (previous Geminoids), Henrik Scharfe's robot is supposed to be a master of android science and philosophy. This new robot has been intentionally given the face of its maker, Professor Henrik. It can breath, smile, look upwards and downwards, blink and even pull off its beard.
