Garrus Vakarian designs a 'Mass Effect 2 costume' for himself

As any gamer worth his salt might know, Bioware's Mass Effect and its sequel Mass Effect 2 are incredibly popular games - the main attractions include solid storyline, tons of missions, action gameplay, character development and last but definitely not the least - character design. Now the character designs of the Mass Effect games have been exceptional to say the least. The painstakingly detailed armor is one of the best traits one can come across through the game.

Now, fans might like playing the game with their favorite characters but YouTube user "sithlord314" took it to a whole different level. He designed an actual Garrus Vakarian costume which as the picture above obviously suggests is incredibly detailed. Garrus Vakarian, a playable character in both Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2, was recreated by "sithlord314" in what he terms The Garrus Project which self admittedly was "a little more difficult than I thought it would be" to the maker.

The armor itself comprises of 75 LEDs powered by nine 9V batteries which manage to power the whole suit for a few hours at a go. Also the chest piece which is sizeable is designed to be shipped and transported in two pieces and then rearranged. The eye piece deserves special attention as it has been recreated with staggering likeness to the Mass Effect Garus Vakarian character design.

The whole suit including the mask follows the design of the Garrus Vakarian before his injury in the storyline of the game's second installment. The suit is light weight and as admitted by its maker comfortable but if only you want to stand - it is definitely not designed for a march. As told in his YouTube video detailing this offbeat DIY costume, "sithlord314" intends to produce more of these costumes and plans to keep everyone informed through his website.
