Garmin makes you ready to go on land, on water with GPSMAP 378, 478

Garmin has just introduced its two new GPS navigators - GPSMAP 378 and GPSMAP 478 with preloaded land and sea cartography, the first of its kind, allowing users to navigate the planet doesn't matter where they are.

Gary Kelley, Garmin's vice president of marketing, said:

Our customers want GPS navigators that come pre-loaded with the cartography that they need, and the GPSMAP 378 and 478 fit the bill. These two units are the ideal companions whether you're sailing coastal waterways, boating on inland lakes, or driving across North America.
The GPSMAP 378 and 478 are the only portable units packed with optional XM WX Weather forecasting capabilities.

The GPSMAP 478 comes packed with Marine Detail Charts of the United States coastline showing shaded depth contours, port plans, wrecks, restricted areas, and more via Garmin's new BlueChart g2. The GPSMAP 378 gives a whopping 10-meter resolution for more than 3200 lakes. Both GPS navigators are pre-loaded with MapSource(R) City Navigator(R) NT detailed street maps of the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico.

The GPSMAP 378 and GPSMAP 478 will be released in May and will cost $1199.99 each.
