The latest news in the cellphone world is that the G1 may be launched soon and the press conference might take place on the 23rd of October. Hence, we can be pretty sure that the Android phone is coming and that it’s a rebadged HTC Dream from T-Mobile. The G1 has a “kicktail” and an arc slider screen whose functionality is not known yet. It has almost all the features that hi-tech phones have and runs on the 528Mhz Qualcomm 7201 processor. The Quad Band phone, however, may not have GPS, as that is what the released specs indicate. With a screen size of 3.17″ it provides you with a great view. Content can also be downloaded from the Android Marketplace and it is equipped with 3G. Most audio files, YouTube and image file formats are supported by the phone. The phone’s real usability and marketability will be known after the press conference.
