Developed first as a concept for Tom Cruise’s Minority Report, John Underkoffler, an MIT undergraduate has now produced a real version of the most intuitive user interface. The marketable adaptation called the G-Speak developed by Underkoffler’s company Oblong also uses a pair of special gloves to navigate through a vast array of digital information using intuitive gestures and movements.

The revolutionary interface which debuted at the TED conference earlier this year uses a mounted camera to track the user’s gloves as they move in space with sub-millimeter precision. Capable of handling quick motions and multiple users, Underkoffler believes that G-Speak UI will come packaged with every computer in the next five years. Watch Underkoffler giving us a peek-a-boo into the future of human computer interactions.
