Now this is really something. A Swiss company called Biotex is planning to make shirts with pre-fitted wireless sensors that could potentially analyze sweat samples on the spot to determine if the wearer needs an energy drink. The high-tech shirts would assess sodium, potassium and chloride levels in the sweat of the wearer and collect data in real time or deliver it to other wireless devices for instant analyses. The technology is still undergoing tests and aims at providing athletes and diabetics with immediate notifications when the level of nutrients in their body is going down and needs to be topped up. They haven’t specified if the wearer’s deodorant will hinder the process of analysis which really makes us nervous, if you know what I mean!
