How about controlling computer with thoughts? Well, Austrian medical and electrical engineering company Guger Technologies are commercially shipping Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) kit that controls a computer with thoughts.

The Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) kit identifies the mental activity via electrophysiological signals and then transforms it to control signals thereby enabling the usage of brain signals to control a cursor on a monitor.

The innovation has also been blessed with the European Information and Communication Technology (ICT) 2007 Grand Prize at the running CeBIT 2007. The main aim of the system is to facilitate paralyzed patients to communicate and interact with their environment.

For now, the pricing for the BCI kit hasn’t been announced.
